Easy points: The Path of the Warrior

Let's get this straight. No, I’m not talking about the wrong title on the previous post. It’s about some of the Path of the Warrior Quests.

Basically this path is meant not only for Carry, but also supports and Core heroes. So don’t be ashamed to use Bane for one of these Quests. Some of these are very aggressive, while others are kind of “use this if you want to win”.

Flexible Powers, Benefits

Purchase Power Treads before the timer reaches 13:00 / 9:00 / 7:00.

Going for Power Treads right away it’s not difficult at all. If you really want to secure this Quest because you’re not sure about your last hitting 5k1ll2, you can start with a Band of Elvenskin, Belt of Strength, or a Robe of Magi, and Tangos. Welp, if I’m going as an Agility based carry, Elvenskin is the way to go.

Recommended Heroes: Any Carry.

Lend a Hurting Hand

Get 6/10/15 assists.

Getting assists it’s not difficult when you are Zeus, so pick him and be ready to cast your ultimate when needed. Your Q and W are great assist tools if you can’t finish the job, and take into account an occasional Aether Lens.

Any good initiator can become a great assister, as they open up the battle but lack the proper damage over time. Except those like Axe’s Culling Blade or Necrophos’ Reaper’s Scythe. Just remember: DON'T KILL, unless it's completely necessary.

Recommended Heroes: Zeus
Other Options: Initiators, Supports with long Debuffs or Spells; Venomancer, Bristleback, Earthshaker, etc.

Tactical Pause

Disable enemy heros for 75 / 100 / 125 seconds.

There is no other hero that can excels in this than Bane, with Nightmare and his ultimate, Fiend’s Grip, that passes through Magic Immunity.

You can also try with Lion and Shadow Shaman, both with two reliable disable mechanisms that can add up.

Recommended Heroes: Bane
Other Heroes: Lion, Shadow Shaman

Double Tap

Purchase Echo Sabre before the game timer reaches 30:00 / 22:00 / 16:00.

Echo Sabre is one of the difficult choices for rushing before 16:00. I suggest to pick heroes who can benefit of the double-hit and mana regeneration provided by Echo Sabre, like Ursa’s Fury Swipes — just be sure to use Overpower after the second hit.

Recommended Heroes: Ursa, Lifestealer, Wraith King, Spirit Breaker, Sven, Faceless Void and Slark

Heal be Fine

Heal yourself and your allied heroes for a total of 4000 / 5500 / 7000 health.

If you are going the support role, Oracle’s Purifying Flames is a very good healing as it can be spammed a lot, and used right, can heal allied at full HP. I’ve tested it and this Quest can be done in a matter of minutes.

Treant Protector an Abaddon can also work. Juggernaut and Necrophos are a good option if you want something more aggressive and core.

Recommended Heroes: Oracle.
Other options: Juggernaut, Treant Protector, Abaddon, Necrophos.

Batting Practice

Perform Avalanche / Toss combo 6 / 9 / 12 times on an enemy hero as Tiny.

Not difficult at all, but you have to bear in mind two things. The first is that Tiny as a very low mana pool, so Bottle up and pay attention to the Runes because using both spells can deplete your mana instantly.

The second is math. At first level you can make 100+90 in raw magical damage using both, and maxed out do 300+594 (with Grow at Level 3). So, basically, try to aim always for weak heroes, and late game use it for setting up kills if you can’t take down a tanky hero.

Everybody gets a Scar

Deal 3000 / 5000 / 7000 damage to enemy Heroes and kill 40 / 70 / 100 enemy units with Cleave.

Cleaving your way through means using Sven, or a carry who can benefits from a early-timed Battlefury. Bear in mind, the damage doesn’t count if its cleaved or not, so Sven’s ultimate can be very good for dealing damage quickly.

Tiny can be a very risky bet, but you could use it if you are very comfortable with the hero. Aghanim’s Scepter should come as the first item for him, though.

Recommended Heroes: Sven.
Other Heroes: Anti-Mage, Phantom Assassin, Juggernaut, Ember Spirit, Chaos Knight, Tiny.

Stand by me if you want to live

Prevent 3000 / 5000 / 7000 physical damage from enemy Heroes to your hero or allied Heroes with armor or damage block.

There are not too much Heroes who can prevent Physical Damage using armor or damage block. Oracle’s False Promise doesn’t count (I already tested that), Omninight’s Guardian Angel also doesn’t count (same), and I’m unsure if Dazzle’s Shallow Grave or Bristleback’s Bristleback counts too.

If it is for the armor and damage block, Tidehunter is one star with his Kraken Shell. Also, Abaddon’s Aphotic Shield does the job, but it will also block magical damage.

I could count Axe or Centaur Warrunner, as both are a great fit for Crimson Guard mid-game. Lich can also count with his Ice Armor, but it means leveling it up from the beginning and spamming it.

Dragon Knight is a very tanky hero from the get go, too. In fact, I just completed the Quest with him, going for Assault Cuirass, Crimson Guard and Guardian Greaves. Of course, it wasn’t easy.

Recommended Heroes: Tidehunter, Lich, Axe, Abaddon, Centaur Warrunner, Dragon Knight, Treant Protector (Not Tested). Plus Crimson Guard.

Old Reliable

Kill an enemy Hero in 15 seconds after teleporting in 2 / 3 / 5 times.

Despite the sound of it, this Quest can be done if you are very aware of early rotations. It could be done with Nature’s Prophet going the Burst Damage way (Maelstrom, Dagon, Orchid), as he can pop out tower-side, kill and TP to disappear.

The rest depend on the game, honestly. Just be sure to pick heroes as they teleport to the towers, and look for a miss-position.

I’ll Take That

Steal 2000 / 4000 / 6000 HP from enemy heroes using sources of life steal.

Heroes who have lifesteal built-in are great picks, but also a Carry with Morbid Mask to Mask of Madness or Helm of the Dominator. The latter means a very well-cared Carry and Late-game for this Quest.

For those wondering about Pugna, I tried to use him but it didn’t count. Valve pls fix.

Recommended Heroes: Lifestealer, Wraith King, Hard-Carry with Morbid Mask.

Just be Yourself

Steal 3000 / 5000 / 7000 HP from enemy heroes using life steal and deal 10000 / 12000 / 15000 physical damage to enemy Heroes as Lifestealer.

There is nothing to recommend except for your itemization. If you really want the ★★★ rating, Lifestealer should get Skull Basher, Maelstrom, and what the match requires.

If you are extreme enough, you can pair it with Mask of Madness for better results. Just be sure to have the lead in Net Worth.

Axe Blink Call!

Blink and use Berserker’s Call on 15 / 25 / 35 enemy Heroes as Axe.

The name of this Quest says it all: get a Blink while you can, and start setting up kills for your teammates.

Just be aware of invisible enemies, as they may force you to lane instead of going solo jungling. Also bear in mind heroes who can lower your Armor.

Have a Heart

Purchase Vitality Booster / Reaver / Heart of Tarrasque before the game timer reaches 25:00.

This Quest is pretty difficult considering the average tanky hero doesn’t get too much gold, but there is an exception for this 5500G item: Alchemist. Rushing the item should be very easy, but it may leave you as initiator rather than a fatty carry, and have some mana problems early game.

The Blood Price

Earn 100 / 150 / 200 or more last hits.

For this, I recommend a carry who you can rely successfully on their good hitting animation from Level 1, as this post on Reddit says with metrics.

While Sniper can be a very good last-hitter, his initial damage is not. Lycan can do very good in this, but a lot of times people limit him to the jungle (not bad but you have to get 200 last hits there). I would personally bear in mind that graph and play those who are over 60 Base Damage and no more than 0.4s in hitting.

People say that Dark Seer’s Ion Shell can count if you are solo offlane, but be my guest.

Recommended Heroes: Phantom Lancer, Faceless Void, Legion Commander, Sven, Bloodseeker, Templar Assassin, Kunkka, Lifestealer, Ursa, Anti-Mage.

The Legend Lives on

Deal 750 / 1000 / 1250 damage within 1 second and claim the Aegis 1 / 2 / 3 times as Ursa.

This is standard Ursa who gets is Vladimir’s Offering and goes smoking directly to Roshan. Fury Swipes at maximum level can stack 30 damage per hit, so reaching 1250 means hitting somebody for something close to 40 times. Not even 10.000 HP can deal with that.

The good part if its 1250 damage in one second. So using Overpower for the last hits in Roshan is important as Ursa can easily stack 400+ damage. 3 consecutive hits and you have more than 1250 in damage in one second.

The usual recommendation for those who want to get 3 Aegis: always use smoke; never disappear from the map more than 40 seconds (as it becomes obvious you are in Rosh); wash out from invisible heroes (and dust Rosh before killing him); ward up the river; and take the time when you kill it, as it takes between 8–11 minutes to respawn.

Good luck getting that set.

Finally, The Path of the Spellbender is next.
